LEHRTER SIEBZEHN was a temporary OPEN PROJECT SPACE from 2013-2015 comprising 450 m2. A belief in openness and forward movement were core values of LEHRTER SIEBZEHN. In line with the identity of the space, LEHRTER SIEBZEHN supported young artists and creators in realising their concepts.

As a curatorial duo, my partner Johanna Wallenborn and I, advocated non-traditional perspectives on art, celebrated the blurring borders of genres and pushed experimentation through the use and creative misuse of technology. We built a community, established the unique character of the space and curated and hosted across disciplines. We loved to work with people tackling along the boundaries of tech, art and design and established “unrender”, a format to gather the Berlin scene and exhibit work in process or passion projects. We worked with collaborators who could cope and contribute to a place that celebrated modularity, interdisciplinarity and constant flux.
